Fallen by Lauren Kate
Rating: 4 / 10
Goodreads review for this book here. Unfortunately I just really didn’t like this book. The plot had potential but it was dragged out too thin. The characters were two dimensional and cliched, and their actions were super predictable. In the books defense, I feel like young teens would enjoy this if they were just being introduced to YA fantasy and the whole fallen angel idea.
Eleanor and Park

Hardly made a dent yet so I can’t say I have many thoughts just yet. This story is about Eleanor and Park, two sixteen year olds exploring first love over the course of a year. After the disgraceful attempt at romance in Fallen, I’m in the mood for something cute and this sounds like it ticks that box. I rated Rowell’s Fangirl a 9/10 and her Landline a 7/10, so I’m expecting to enjoy this one too.
Gemina by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff
Goodreads rating: 4.55
November is sci-fi book month and so I plan to kick it off with this bad boy! I adored Illuminae, which I gave a 9/10. This book promises to be just as intriguing, with two new character Hanna and Nik, who have to defend their jump station against the BeitTech invasion, a rip in the wormhole, and aliens.
